The village of Wollersheim:
Wollersheim was founded around 717 and is today a village with 800 inhabitants. thanks to its many old quarry stone buildings and apartment buildings and not least because of an action to improve the village, i.a. has also been discovered as a place of residence and holiday village in the past few years by EU funding from city dwellers and newcomers. A “Tante Emma Laden”, a pizzeria, and twice a week two rolling suppliers (bread, pastries, groceries) ensure basic supplies. Supermarkets, discounters, small shops, pharmacies and restaurants, snack bars, petrol stations etc. can be found in Zülpich and Nideggen.
Wollersheim is easy to reach by public transport by bus, to and from Zülpich, Düren, Gemünd and Nideggen.
The proximity to the holiday area Nordeifel (Nideggen approx. 7 km, Heimbach approx. 14 km, Naturparknordeifel approx. 7 km, Rursee, Zülpich with the Freisportsee approx. 7 km, Düren 20 km, Cologne 60 km, Aachen 55 km, Monschau 37 km , Dutch and Belgian border 40 km and many other interesting tourist destinations) is ideal for hikers, climbers, cyclists and sailors / swimmers.
In the apartment you will find a folder with tips for holiday guests. Here we point out excursions, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. If required, we are also available personally for questions.
